Support Idaho
Democrats Published in Spokesman Review A couple of great political events took place in Idaho recently. On Sept.
15, Larry Grant, an Idaho native and candidate for Congress, debated Bill Sali
at NIC. Judging by the applause at the end, Grant clearly won. He is
intelligent, articulate, understands business and economics and has taken the
time to know his neighbors. Idaho could be proud to have him as our
representative. Sali has been financed by an extremist right-wing group based in
Washington, D.C. Sali is against government intrusion into our lives, but not if
one is female, Hispanic or an elderly Japanese. Republicans in the Idaho
Legislature have described him as belligerent and incompetent. On Sept. 16, an inspiring fund-raiser was held for Jerry Brady, candidate
for governor. Brady has traveled this state extensively, meeting people and
listening to their concerns. He has strong family values and is a businessman
who knows and loves his state. He'd be a governor for the people. In the debate Sali said that competition is a good thing because it
sharpens the players. Our government will be sharper, less arrogant and less
corrupt with Jerry Brady in the governor's office, Larry Grant in Congress and
more Democrats in Boise and Washington. Janet Callen
